A tragic incident took place on Wednesday at the world-famous Shri Banke Bihari Temple in Vrindavan. A 56-year-old devotee named Kripal Singh, son of Sher Singh and a resident of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, suddenly collapsed after offering prayers. people nearby tried to help, but he did not regain consciousness. the temple authorities, police and local administration quickly reached the spot and took charge of the situation. after preliminary investigation, it was confirmed that the cause of death was a heart attack. the incident created a sad atmosphere among other devotees visiting the temple for darshan.
Devotee Collapsed After Darshan at Banke Bihari Temple
According to the temple administration, Kripal Singh had come to the Banke Bihari Temple on Tuesday with his family to offer prayers. After completing the darshan, he was leaving the temple premises around 6pm through the gate no4, carrying his nephew on his shoulder. suddenly, he felt dizzy and collapsed on the ground. the security personnel present at the spot immediately rushed to assist and controlled the situation. they quickly arranged for an ambulance and took Kripal Singh to the nearby Mayawati Hospital. however, despite all efforts, the doctors declared him dead on arrival. the news of his sudden death left his family and other devotees deeply shocked and saddened.
Family members of Kripal Singh said he had been suffering from a respiratory illness for some time. he often complained of breathlessness and the problems had worsened recently. Kripal Singh had come to the Banke Bihari Temple by bus with around 50 relative and friends for the darshan. After offering prayers with deep devotion, he suddenly felt uneasy while leaving the temple. his family believes his death was due to natural causes. Medical examination also confirmed that he died of cardiant arrest caused by a sudden stoppage of heartbeat.
Temple committtee and administration extend support to deceased devotee’s family
After the incident, local administration officials and temple committee members immediately reached the spot and offered full support to Kripal Singh’s family. following the family’ request, the body was sent to Meerut after completing all necessary formalities. District officials informed that Kripal’s companions Avadh pal, Vinod Kumar and Sanjeev Kumar from Meerut- were handed over the body for final rites. the temple administration expressed deep sorrow over the devotee’s death and prayed for the strength and peace of his family. meanwhile, the darshan arrangements at the Banke Bihari Temple continued smoothly for other devotees.
