Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta Said on saturday that the delhi government will bring a bill in the upcoming monsoon session to control fee hikes by private schools. According to the ordinance approved by the cabinet on april 29, the Bill proposes strict penalties for schools. According to the ordinance approved by the cabinet on april 29, the bill proposes strict penalties for schools that increase fees unfairly. for the First voilation, schools can be fined between Rs.1 Lakh and Rs.5 lakh. if they break the rule again, the fine can go up to Rs.2 lakh to Rs.10 lakh. If the school does not return the extra fee within the given time, the penalty will double after 20 days, triple after 40 days, and keep increasing every 20 days.
No Sudden Changes in School Fees
In Case of repeated violations, school officials may be banned from holding official posts in school management. they may also lost the right to propose any further changes in school fees. This Bill aims to protect parents from sudden and unjustified increases in school fees and ensure transparency in school fee structures.

She said, it is a matter of pride that the delhi assembly is going paperless. we have also developed the assembly as model institution as it now runs entirely on solar energy. The chief Minister added that this step is part of the government’s broader agenda for digital and sustainable governance. under this plan, efforts are also being made to make the delhi secretariat completely paperless. the Move aims to reduce the paper usage, promote eco-friendly practices, and increases efficiency in government operations.
