Delhi Elections Update: Kejriwal Promises Free Bus Travel for Students, 50% Metro Fare Discount if Elected

Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal  announced on Friday morning that if the AAP government is reelected , bus travel will be made free for students. This means students can travel on buses without paying any fare. Additionally, students will get 50% discount on metro fare.

Before this announcement, Kejriwal had hinted at this plan in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the letter, he mentioned ta the Delhi metro project is jointly funded by the central and Delhi governments on a 50-50 basis, and sought the Centre’s support to implement the metro fare discount.

The dates for the Delhi Assembly Elections have been announced, Voting for all 70 seats will take place on February 5, and the results will be declared on February 8. The current term of the Delhi Assembly is set to end on February 23.

Kejriwal Accuses BJP Leader of Using Abusive Language Against Women

Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday criticized ( Bhartiya Janta Party) BJP Leaders, stating that they engage in abusing others morning and evening. He alleged that BJP Leaders often use derogatory language against women and the Purvanchali community. Kejriwal further claimed that within the BJP, those who use the most offensive language are rewarded with higher positions in the Party.
