Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal criticized BJP’s Manifesto for the Delhi elections, calling it a “bundle of lies”. He stated that the manifesto lacks any mention of how the BJP plans to improve the law and order situation in the capital.
Kejriwal remarked, “The manifesto only has one line saying they will learn from the work being done by me. If they want to learn the work from me, then we are already doing the work. And since they know they won’t form the government, they could have at least made the big promises.
He further expressed his thoughts on social media platform X, saying, “BJP’s manifesto is not a ‘BJP manifesto’ but a ‘Kejriwal manifesto.’ They are asking people to vote for them to do the work that Kejriwal is already doing better. Why would anyone vote for BJP then?”
On Friday, BJP’s national president JP Nadda released the party’s manifesto. Key promises include giving Rs.2,500 per month to women, a Rs.500 subsidy on LPG cylinders for poor women, and Rs.21,000 under the Matru Suraksha Vandana Yojana for pregnant women. Additionally, Nadda assured that the existing schemes for free electricity, water, and bus rides introduced by the current government would continue.
Voting in Delhi on February 5, Results on February 8
The dates for the Delhi elections have been announced. Voting will take place on February 5 for all 70 seats, and the results will be declared on February 8. The current term of the Delhi Assembly ends on February 23.
On the day of voting, all central government offices in Delhi will remain closed. The Ministry of Personnel issued an order on Friday, stating that all central government offices and industrial institutions will be shut on February 5, the day of the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections.
