Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Criticizes AAP, Promises Support for Women
Ahead of the first assembly session, a major meeting of BJP MLAs was held at the state party office on Sunday. During this meeting, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta strongly criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), accusing the previous government of emptying the state treasury. Speaking to the media, she claimed that AAP left Delhi in financial distress.
However, she assured that despite the financial crisis, the BJP government would fulfill its promises. She announced that under the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, Delhi’s women would receive Rs.2,500 as promised. Gupta emphasized that despite AAP’s alleged financial mismanagement, the BJP is committed to supporting the people, especially women. She urged journalists to observe the current state of Delhi under AAP’s rule and reassured that BJP would take responsibility for the city’s welfare.
Since the BJP government took charge in Delhi, political tensions with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have continued to escalate. Frequent verbal attacks between the two parties show no signs of stopping.

Recently, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta accused former CM Atishi of emptying the state treasury before leaving office. Despite this, Gupta assured that her government would still provide Rs.2,500 per month to women under its welfare scheme.
Responding to the allegations, Atishi dismissed Gupta’s claims, stating that the BJP should focus on fulfilling its promises instead of making excuses. She asserted that the AAP government had left behind a strong financial system for Delhi and that the BJP should efficiently manage state resources instead of blaming the previous administration. With both parties standing firm on their positions, the political battle in Delhi shows no signs of slowing down.
Atishi Hits Back at CM Rekha Gupta’s Allegations
Former Delhi CM Atishi has strongly countered CM Rekha Gupta’s claims, rejecting her statement outright. She accused the BJP of making excuses instead of fulfilling its promises. Atishi stated that as soon as the BJP took power in Delhi, it started blaming others rather than focusing on delivering on its guarantees.
She emphasized that the BJP should concentrate on governance rather than shifting responsibility. Highlighting AAP’s achievements, Atishi pointed out that when AAP came to power in 2015, Delhi’s budget was Rs.30,000 crore. Under AAP’s leadership, it grew to Rs.77,000 crore, reflecting significant financial improvements. She argued that the AAP government had left behind a strong financial foundation, and the BJP should now work efficiently instead of making baseless allegations. With this sharp response, the political tension between the two parties continues to escalate in Delhi.
