Disadvantages
- While boiling vegetables offers many benefits, it also has some disadvantages. Boiling vegetables destroys their nutrients. Water-soluble vitamins like vitamin C and vitamin B complex dissolve in water, meaning we destroy the nutrients in vegetables.

Advantages
- Eating vegetables after cooking enhances their taste because many types of spices and oils are used in it which makes the food tasty.
- By eating vegetables after cooking, harmful bacteria present in them get destroyed, due to which there is no risk of infection.
- Vitamins A, B, D and K found in vegetables are fat soluble and if we cook vegetables in oil or ghee, then our body absorbs these vitamins properly.
Disadvantages
- Eating vegetables after cooking destroys many types of nutrients present in them.
- Cooking vegetables in oil or ghee increases the amount of calories and fat in them, due to which our weight starts increasing unexpectedly.
The right way to eat vegetables

Some vegetables can be eaten raw so that you can get the nutrients present in them properly – like carrots, peas, broccoli, onion, you can eat them raw as well, apart from this, it is better to eat vegetables by steaming them or boiling them properly, because if you cook vegetables in steam then their nutrients remain intact and do not dissolve in water, whereas if you are eating them after boiling them then boil them in less water and do not waste the water, rather use it in the form of soup or vegetable curry.
