According to the recent details, a big meeting was held in delhi under the congress’s organization creation campaign. The meeting was attented by congress president malikarjun kharge, leader of opposition rahul gandhi, and general secretary of organization K.C. Venugopal. In this meeting, the central ladership of the party discussed the future stretegy for strengthening the organization in these states. They also shared their concern about the past mistakes made in madhya prades, where internal issues and poor planning has weakened the party. the leaders clearly told the state representatives not to repeat such misakes again and to work together with the better coordination and disciplines for upcoming challenges.
Rahul Gandhi’s Advise for the Leaders
In the meeting, the central leadership expressed its displeasure with the Madhya Pradesh unit of congress. the leaders were upset about the recent irregularities in the appointment of district presidents in the state. during the discussion, leader of opposition rahul gandhi advised party leaders to ensure transparency in the process of appointing dsitrict presidents in the coming days. he also stressed over that the kind of mistakes and confusion seen in madhya pradesh should not be repeated in other states. the aim, is to build the trust and strengthen the organization at the ground level. However, the central leadership seemed satisfied with the way district presidents were apointed in Haryana and Gujarat, calling it fair.
Decision Made by Congress Party
In Madhya Pradesh, there is growing anger over the appointment of district presidents in around 1 to 15 districts. party workers claim that in several districts, people from completely different districts, people from completely different areas have been made presidents, while in some of the cases, responsibilities has been give to individuals with a poor public image. the dissatisfaction is strong in places like bhopal, indore, dewas and Ujjain. there has been a tradition in the congress party, for the reserved assembly and lok sabha constituencies,the post of district president is usually given to someone from the general category for organizational balance. This practice, was not followed in madhya pradesh this time. The decision has upset so many leaders in the party. It also drew a lot of attention of the central leadership. the high command expressed its displeasure with the state unit for breaking this tradition. at the same time, the leadership advised other states units to avoid making such mistakes in the future and maintain organizational discipline.
