Saranpur: CM Yogi also lashed out at the SP for failing to carry out development work. Referring to former CM Akhilesh Yadav, he remarked that previous governments used to spend money on graveyards; where was faith then?

The corridor was once a dream – Yogi

CM Yogi Adityanath took the SP to task. He stated that before 2017, building a corridor was merely a dream. Funds existed, but the government lacked vision, leading the SP to misappropriate the money. He noted that the same funds are now being used to construct bridges. He further remarked that those with a selfish mindset limited themselves to their own villages; everyone was concerned only with the village of Saifai.

This government cares for every corner of the state. He pointed out that riots no longer occur in Saharanpur and Meerut, whereas they used to happen there in the past; there was even an exodus from Kairana. He added that neither daughters nor traders were safe back then. The CM recalled that in 2012, even a DIG was attacked in Moradabad, yet the SP government failed to prosecute the attackers.

He asked why faith was not considered when funds meant for temples were spent on graveyards. Who could possibly stop Ayodhya from progressing? Yogi stated that this government respects both development and heritage, noting the construction of railways, roads, and airports. He mentioned that places where aircraft could not land previously now boast international airports. Targeting the SP, he said the party has always been opposed to heritage and great icons.

No playing with faith

Addressing a public meeting in Saharanpur, CM Yogi Adityanath remarked that those who ordered firing on Ram devotees are now putting on a charade of faith. He noted that people are saying faith is being trifled with. The CM stated that no liberties are being taken with people’s faith. Criminals will be given the strictest possible punishment.

Strict Action Against Criminals

Speaking from Saharanpur, CM Yogi not only attacked the SP but also strategically positioned himself politically. ironically, the very people who ordered that firing are now speaking about faith.
