On Friday, 1ST of August, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta started long-cleanliness campaign of the delhi government called “Delhi ko Koode se Azadi Campaign” By sweeping the area herself. as part of this campaign, she visited the office of the department of women and child development. During her visit to the office located at kashmere gate, she expressed dissapointment and concern. she said, this is my first time visiting this office. it is sad to see that our officers have to work in such poor conditions. the fans look like they could fall anytime, and water is leaking from the ceiling. she showed concern for the safety and working environment of the staff. the cleanliness campaign aims to improve hygiene and sweeping and inspecting offices sent a strong message about the importance of cleanliness, better infrastructure and safety for the government employees.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also inspected every corner of the office, cleaned the e-waste, remived the old posters and files and swept away the dirt herself. she said, there was a fire in this building in 2021, but no repairs have been done since then. Taking a dig at the previous aam admi party aap government, she criticized them for spending crore of rupees on buildings a Seesh Mahal but doing absolutely nothing to improve the condition of government offices. her actions highlighted the urgent need for better maintenance and cleanliness in public buildings for the safety and dignity of government employees.
Delhi will soon get a new secretariat: Says Rekha Gupta
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta criticized and said, that i feel very sad after seeing such condition of the offices where our employees work today. We will begin yhe process if building a new secretariat where all departments will be located together. we will soon identify land for the new secretariat talking about the cleanliness campaign, she said it has started with all of the departments cleaning their own offices. Gupta added, we have removed e-waste, old files and scrap from here, and cleaned it all. we also need to reconsider the rules related to tenders for waste removal. she emphasized the importance of better office spaces for government employees. In a major announcement, cm rekha gupta declared that delhi will soon get a new secretariat. the government is planning to bring all departments under one roof. work to identify a suitable locations for the new secretariat has already begun, marking a step toward improved coordination and working conditions in government offices.
