New Delhi: Jantar Mantar, which has served as a protest site for students for nearly a month, is now the source of fresh announcements. It was from Jantar Mantar that the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP) announced a foot march to Parliament, an event that led to a highly tense situation in Delhi. Now, the CJP has called for nationwide protests on July 24, 2026.
The CJP made this announcement on Thursday, drawing widespread attention. The party has urged a large number of students and youths across the country to join the protest. The demonstration is being organised to address the paper leak scandal and various other student-related issues. In fact, ever since the NEET paper leak occurred, protesting students have been demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
CJP shares information via social media
The Cockroach Janata Party, which emerged from social media platforms, appears to be succeeding in mobilising a major movement. The CJP has announced nationwide protests for July 24. The party has surprised everyone by calling upon the youth to join the agitation in large numbers. The protest focuses on the paper leak issue as well as various other student demands and concerns.

CJP will not go to Nadda’s office for talks
Union Health Minister JP Nadda had proposed holding discussions regarding the students’ demands. However, the CJP refused to visit the government office for the meeting. The CJP stated that they would no longer go to the government office; instead, a government minister would have to come to Jantar Mantar in person.
CJP makes a major appeal to students
The Cockroach Janata Party announced the nationwide protest for July 24 via social media. The CJP has called for the public reading of students’ demands before the gathered crowds during the protest and has urged people to express solidarity with those facing police action. The organisation announced that the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the protest, along with publicity material and a draft memorandum, has been made available on its website. The post concludes with the slogans “Inquilab Zindabad” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” appealing to people across the country to join this peaceful protest.
Situation Spiralled Out of Control During Parliament March
It is worth noting that July 20 was a highly tense day for the residents of Delhi. The ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ has been staging a continuous sit-in protest at Jantar Mantar. A march to Parliament had been scheduled for July 20. When a crowd of students began moving towards Parliament, the police attempted to stop them by using lathis (batons). Many students sustained serious injuries during the incident and have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
