The controversy began with AI-edited morphed videos of Prime Minister Narendra Modi going viral on social media. PM Modi shared a video of the Cockroach Janata Party’s protest at Jantar Mantar. Afterward, some people used AI to edit the video, adding false information, and made it viral. The Indian government has filed a case against Meta India for this very reason.
The AI-edited video was uploaded to Meta’s platforms, Facebook and Instagram, and it was from there that the AI-edited video of PM Modi went viral. A case has been filed by the Barat government against the head of Mera, as well as several other social media users.
The video misled
