Rahul Gandhi said that Narendra Modi and Arvind Kejriwal follow the same kind of politics. Both are experts at making false promises. He also said that wherever people face problems, he will be there.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi strongly criticized Arvind Kejriwal while addressing a public gathering at Hauz Qazi Chowk in Old Delhi on Sunday evening. He said that Kejriwal came in a WagonR but now lives in a palace. Rahul also challenged the AAP leader to drink the “dirty water” being supplied to the people of Delhi. He accused Kejriwal of making false promises, just like Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Rahul Gandhi Attacks Kejriwal, Challenges Him to Drink Delhi’s Water
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addressed a public gathering in support of Congress candidate Haroon Yusuf from Ballimaran. He said that only he and his party stood with the victims of the 2020 Delhi riots and that Congress will always support those who face oppression. He also stated that the people of the country must choose between the ideology of BJP/RSS, which spreads hatred and violence, and the ideology of Congress, which promotes love and unity.
Challenges Kejriwal to Drink Delhi’s Water
Rahul Gandhi said, “The fight was between Narendra Modi and Congress. While this fight was going on, Arvind Kejriwal climbed an electric pole and claimed he would bring new politics, end corruption, clean the Yamuna, and promote brotherhood.” Holding a bottle of Delhi’s water, he pointed out that Kejriwal had promised to clean the Yamuna. He then challenged the AAP leader to drink a glass of the same water, saying, “We will see you in the hospital.”
Displaying the bottled water, Gandhi called it “foul-smelling.” Later, he posted on social media platform X, stating, “On one hand, the poor people of Delhi are forced to drink dirty water, while on the other, Kejriwal, who came to power with false promises, sits in his Sheesh Mahal and engages in corruption worth crores with his team.”
Rahul Gandhi Attacks Kejriwal Over Liquor Scam
During the rally, Rahul Gandhi also targeted Arvind Kejriwal over the liquor scam. He said that Kejriwal claims to do politics for the poor, but there is not a single person from backward, Dalit, or minority (Muslim and Sikh) communities in his team.
Gandhi said, “Kejriwal was involved in the liquor scam, and Manish Sisodia helped him. He built his own team, but when there was violence against you, when riots happened in Delhi, only Rahul Gandhi came to you. Kejriwal was nowhere to be seen. Where was he then?”
He further mocked Kejriwal’s journey, saying, “He first came in a small car (WagonR), then climbed an electric pole, and when he came down, he went straight into a ‘Sheesh Mahal’ with automatic doors and big TVs. This is a ₹45 crore house. His ‘new kind of politics’ was all about making false promises. Just like Narendra Modi, he also made fake promises.”
The former Congress president also claimed that when people are in need, Prime Minister Modi outright refuses to help. He added that Kejriwal follows the same mindset but does not say it openly like Modi does.
