In a Nostalgic post on X Anand Mahindra talked about his long journey with this iconic SUV. he said that ever since Mahindra launched its first hard-top SUV, the Mahindra Armada, he has never driven any other brand of car. Before the Armada, he owned a Hindustan Motors Contessa. Although today he uses the company’s most advanced electric vehicle, the XEV 9e, the bolero remains the closest to his heart.
According to him, the real strength of the Bolero lies in its simplicity, and solid build. it is not filled with unnecessary features, but it is designed to handle rough roads and tough conditions. this rugged nature is what makes the bolero a true road warrior and keeps it relevant even today.
Anand Mahindra’s Statement for Bolero
Anand Mahindra said that the Bolero has been with him since even before the Scorpio was launched. He shared that the beast is back as Bolero 2025 has returned with its classic look along with modern and advanced features. he also revealed that many times the company’s auto team though about stopping the Bolero, but this SUV was never ready to say goodbye.

The Bolero holds a special place in India’s auto history. After the Maruti suzuki wagnoR, it is the second oldest car in the country that is still being made without a break. its production has been going on continuously since the year 2000. this long and successful journey shows how strong the demand for the bolero still is. its simple design, reliability and ability to handle rough roads have helped it stay relevant for over the two decades, making it one of the India’s most trusted and long-lasting SUV’s.
Mahindra has launched the new Bolero 2025 at a starting price of Rs.7.99 Lakh, bringing a fresh generation with classic strength. it is offered in four variants B4, B6, B6(O) and B8. the B4 Gets a new front grille, stealth black color, dual airbags and reverse parking sensors. The B6 adds a touchscreen, steering controls and Type-c ports while B6 (O) offer fog lamps and cornering lights. the top B8 comes with alloy wheels and premium seats.
