After the Delhi Assembly election results, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi expressed his gratitude to the people of Okhla and Mustafabad for their support. He acknowledged the efforts of his party and assured that AIMIM would continue its political struggle despite the challenges. AIMIM had fielded two candidates—Shifa Ur Rehman Khan from Okhla and Tahir Hussain from Mustafabad. Both constituencies have a significant Muslim population, making them key battlegrounds for the party. However, neither candidate could secure victory, finishing in third place in their respective constituencies.
Despite this setback, Owaisi remained optimistic and thanked voters who supported AIMIM. He reiterated his party’s commitment to working for the people and fighting for their rights. Owaisi also addressed the party’s overall performance in the Delhi elections, acknowledging that the results were not in their favor but emphasizing that AIMIM’s political journey would continue.

Owaisi Thanks People, Vows to Continue Fight
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi expressed his gratitude to the people of Okhla and Mustafabad for their support. He assured them that his party would continue its political and social fight. Owaisi also mentioned Tahir Hussain, Shifa-Ur-Rahman, and others who have been in jail for the past five years due to their alleged involvement in the Delhi riots. He prayed for their release and called for justice in their cases. Additionally, Owaisi targeted secular parties, accusing them of failing to stand up for the rights of marginalized communities.
Amanatullah Wins Again from Okhla
In the Delhi Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Amanatullah Khan once again secured victory from the Okhla constituency. He defeated Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Manish Chaudhary by a margin of 23,639 votes. AIMIM candidate Shifa-Ur-Rahman Khan finished in third place, securing a total of 39,558 votes. The Okhla seat witnessed a tough contest, but Amanatullah Khan’s strong voter support ensured his re-election. His victory reinforces AAP’s hold in the region.
Mohan Singh Bisht Wins from Mustafabad
BJP candidate Mohan Singh Bisht has won the Mustafabad assembly seat, which has a large Muslim population. He defeated AAP candidate Adil Ahmed Khan by 17,578 votes. The contest was closely watched, as Mustafabad was one of the key battlegrounds in the Delhi elections. Despite AIMIM’s efforts to gain support, the party secured only 0.77% of the total votes. This result highlights BJP’s continued influence in the area, while AAP remained the main challenger. The election outcome reflects the shifting political landscape in Mustafabad, with different parties vying for voter support in the region.
