What is Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme?
This scheme was started by the government on 22 January 2015. The purpose of starting this scheme is to eliminate gender discrimination in the country and increase awareness towards daughters. This scheme has been named Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana, which means – “Save the girl and educate the girl”.
Through this scheme, the government wants to change the attitude of the society towards daughters, in which various awareness campaigns and programs are being run so that positive thinking can be created in the people towards the birth of girls and girls become self-reliant by getting educated.
Objective of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme
The objective of this scheme is to eliminate gender discrimination and improve child sex ratio. Through this scheme, the government wants to encourage girls towards education so that daughters become self-reliant by getting educated and women empowerment is promoted, an attempt has been made to stop abortion through this scheme so that daughters remain safe.
