According to recent reports, Apple will manufacture its latest iPhone 16e in India, just like the iPhone 13, iPhone 14, and iPhone 15. The iPhone 16e is an upgraded version of the iPhone SE 2022. This year, Apple has rebranded its affordable SE model and introduced it with a new name. The phone comes with several major upgrades, and many of its features are similar to the iPhone 16, which was launched last September. Apple is also planning to manufacture all models of the iPhone 16 series in India.
Apple has confirmed that the iPhone 16e, along with all models of the iPhone 16 series, will be manufactured in India. The company is focusing on local production and also plans to export the India-made iPhone 16e to other countries. Since the launch of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s PLI (Production-Linked Incentive) scheme, local manufacturing in India has grown significantly. Last year, Apple set a new record for exporting India-made iPhones, which led to the decision to manufacture the iPhone 16e in the country.
Features of iPhone 16e
According to reports, Apple has launched the new iPhone 16e at a starting price of Rs.59,900. The phone is available in three storage variants: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. It features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a notch design, similar to the iPhone 14. The home button has been removed, and Face ID is now used for security, enhancing the phone’s features. With these upgrades, customers are eagerly waiting for its release.
Apple’s latest iPhone 16e runs on iOS 18 and features a Ceramic Shield for enhanced protection. It is powered by the 3nm A18 Bionic chip, the same processor used in the iPhone 16 series launched in September. The phone also comes with Apple Intelligence features and includes several specifications from the iPhone 16. Apple’s New iPhone 16e has a 48MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) on the back. For selfies and video calls, it includes a 12MP front camera. Apple has also added an Action Button to this model.
