A massive fire broke out on Wednesday at a firecracker manufacturing factory in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district of Andhra Pradesh. the tragic incident claimed the lives of at least seven people, while three others were seriously injured. According to police officials, the blaze spread rapidly inside the factory, trapping several workers. Rescue teams and fire officials rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after several hours of efforts. the injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities have started an investigation to find out the exact cause of the fire.
The tragic incident occurred around 1 p.m. while work was underway at a licensed firecracker factory names Sri Ganapati Grand Fire Works. According to Ramachandrapuram sub-divisional police office SDPO B. Raghuveer, the fire started when a spark ignited during the process of filling chemical material into the firecrackers. this spark triggered multiple explosions, which quickly spread to the stockpile of fireworks, causing a massive blaze. Within minutes, the fire engulfed the entire factory, making it difficult for workers to escape. The explosions were so powerful that thick clouds if smoke spread across the surrounding area, causing panic among local residents. Firefighters and emergency services rushed to the spot to bring the situation under control and prevent further damage.

Superintendent of police (SP) Rahul Meena confirmed that the factory was operating with a valid license. However, SDPO Raghuveer made a shocking revelation, stating that the factory had been warned twice in the past fifteen days. Officials from the revenue department has also issued formal notices to stop unsafe operations. Despite these repeated warnings, the factory continued its work without taking proper safety measures, which eventually led to the tragic accident. the massive fire caused panic in the area, but thanks to the immediate efforts of local residents, the blaze was brought under control before it could spread further. Authorities have now launched a detailed investigation into the factory’s safety violations and negligence.
