Amrit Udyan to Remain Closed on Mondays for Maintenance
Amrit Udyan will remain closed on Mondays for maintenance. Earlier known as Mughal Garden, its name was later changed to Amrit Udyan. President Droupadi Murmu participated in the inauguration of the garden’s winter annual edition for 2025. According to the statement, Amrit Udyan will be open to the public from February 2 to March 30.
Free Entry and Booking Required
Entry and booking for the garden are free, but visitors must obtain a pass from the official Rashtrapati Bhavan portal. Without prior booking, entry will not be allowed. All visitors must enter and exit through Gate No. 35 of Rashtrapati Bhavan, which is near North Avenue.
Shuttle Bus Service Available
According to the statement, a shuttle bus service will be available every 30 minutes from Central Secretariat Metro Station to Gate No. 35. The service will run from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. This year, along with tulips, visitors will also get to see 140 different types of roses and more than 80 other flowers in Amrit Udyan.

This magnificent garden was designed by British architect Sir Edwin Lutyens between 1928 and 1929, and it was completed in 1931. In 2023, its name was changed from Mughal Garden to Amrit Udyan.
