The company recorded impressive growth and increased its lead over rivals such as Mahindra and Hyundai. According to the latest sales data, Tata Motors sold a total of 59,790 vehicles across domestic and international markets during the month. This represents a strong 42% year-on-year increase in sales. The company’s popular SUVs, especially the Punch and Nexon, continued to attract buyers and played a major role in driving growth. Tata Motors New Milestone

Tata Motors achieved a new milestone in May 2026, with its monthly electric vehicle sales reaching a record 10,517 units. The strong performance further strengthens the company’s leadership position in India’s fast-growing EV market. The Nexon EV and Punch EV have become popular choices among buyers looking for an electric car priced below ₹15 lakh, and the latest sales figures reflect their growing demand. Tata Motors continues to benefit from offering practical and affordable EV options to Indian customers. The company could see even stronger EV sales in the coming months, with the updated Tiago EV expected to attract more buyers.

Tata Motors enjoyed a strong month in May 2026, driven largely by the impressive performance of its popular SUVs, the Punch and Nexon. The Punch recorded sales of around 20,000 units, while the Nexon sold nearly 19,000 units during the month, helping Tata stay ahead of several competitors. The company has also seen a sharp rise in demand for its electric vehicles, with bookings reportedly increasing more than threefold in recent months. Tata’s strategy of offering multiple powertrain options, including petrol, diesel, CNG, and electric models, continues to pay off. Demand for its CNG vehicles is also growing rapidly.
