Rising inflation in India is now affecting the automobile market as well. People are already dealing with higher prices of petrol, diesel, and CNG, and now Maruti Suzuki has announced a price hike for its cars from June 2026. The country’s largest carmaker said that prices of its vehicles will increase by up to Rs 30,000 next month. According to the company, the cost of raw materials and overall input expenses have been rising continuously, forcing it to increase vehicle prices. This move is expected to make buying a new Maruti Suzuki car more expensive for customers across different segments.

Maruti Suzuki and Rising Inflation

Rising inflation is becoming a major concern for people across the country. Prices of essential items like milk, vegetables, petrol, diesel, and CNG are already increasing, and now the news of costlier cars has added more pressure on buyers. Maruti Suzuki has said that input costs have been rising continuously over the past few months. The company claimed it tried several ways to control expenses so customers would not face additional burden, but the situation has now become difficult.

Rising Production Costs

Due to high inflation and increasing production costs, the carmaker says it has no option but to revise prices. However, the company also mentioned that it is trying to keep the price hike as low as possible to reduce the impact on customers. Still, a part of the increased production cost will now be passed on to buyers, making new cars more expensive from next month.

Announcement By Maruti Suzuki

Maruti Suzuki has currently announced that prices across its entire product portfolio will increase by up to Rs 30,000. However, the exact price hike will vary depending on the model and variant. The company said that every vehicle will get a different increase within the maximum limit of Rs 30,000. At present, cars sold through Maruti Suzuki’s Arena and Nexa showrooms are priced between Rs 3.50 lakh and Rs 28.61 lakh. This upcoming price revision is expected to affect most popular models in the lineup.

Price Hike on Maruti Cars By June 2026

Customers who are planning to buy a new Maruti Suzuki car still have a chance to avoid the price hike by booking their vehicle before June 2026. Interested buyers can visit nearby dealerships and complete their booking before the revised prices officially come into effect next month across the country.
