Renault India is performing well in the Indian market with its compact MPVs, SUVs, and midsize SUVs. April 2026 turned out to be a very successful month for the company. Renault started deliveries of the new-generation Renault Duster in April, and the iconic SUV received a strong response from customers right from the beginning. In its very first month, the new Renault Duster recorded sales of 2,359 units, showing the growing demand for the SUV in India. The company’s latest products are helping Renault strengthen its position in the competitive automobile market and attract more buyers across different vehicle segments.
Renault Duster Launching
Customers had been waiting for the launch of the new Renault Duster for a long time, and the SUV finally received a great response after entering the market. Along with the Duster, Renault’s compact SUV Kiger and MPV Triber also recorded strong sales in April. Both models continued to attract buyers in their respective segments and helped boost the company’s overall performance. However, Renault’s most affordable car, the Kwid, faced a difficult month. Sales of the entry-level hatchback dropped by 31 percent on a yearly basis, showing weaker demand compared to the same period last year in the Indian market.
Renault Duster
Talking about Renault’s sales figures in the Indian market, the new Renault Duster became the company’s best-selling car as soon as deliveries started. In its very first month, the SUV recorded sales of 2,359 units in April, showing strong demand among Indian customers. Buyers had been eagerly waiting for the return of the iconic SUV, and the response has been impressive. The new Renault Duster is currently available only with a petrol engine option. Its ex-showroom price in India starts at Rs 10.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 18.69 lakh, depending on the variant and features chosen by customers.
Renault Triber became the second best-selling car for Renault India in April 2026. The company sold 1,917 units of the MPV during the month, which is around 37 percent higher compared to 1,401 units sold in April last year. The Triber continues to attract buyers because of its spacious cabin, practical features, and affordable pricing. It is also counted among the most affordable 7-seater cars available in India. Renault Triber is currently priced between Rs 5.81 lakh and Rs 8.69 lakh (ex-showroom). Its strong sales performance shows that demand for budget-friendly family cars remains high in the Indian automobile market.
