People are set to face another big inflation shock from June 1 as leading automobile company Maruti Suzuki has announced a price hike across its car lineup. The company said that prices of its vehicles will increase by up to ₹30,000 depending on the model. According to Maruti Suzuki, the decision has been taken due to rising inflation pressure and an unfavorable cost environment, which has increased overall production expenses. The company added that despite efforts to reduce the impact on customers, some part of the higher cost now needs to be passed on to buyers. The new prices will come into effect from June 1.

Price Hike for all models by Maruti Suzuki

Maruti Suzuki India has announced a price hike for all models in its portfolio from June 2026. In a regulatory filing, the company said that prices of its vehicles will increase by up to ₹30,000 depending on the model. Maruti Suzuki explained that it has been trying to control the impact of rising costs over the past few months through cost reduction measures. However, due to continued inflation pressure and increasing input costs, the company has now decided to pass on a part of the burden to customers. The revised prices will be applicable across all models from next month.

According to the report, Maruti Suzuki said in its regulatory filing that inflation pressure has now reached a high level and the market is facing an unfavorable cost environment. Due to rising expenses, the company stated that it will have to pass on a part of the increased cost burden to the market. This is the main reason behind the upcoming price hike across its vehicle range. At the same time, Maruti Suzuki added that it is making every possible effort to keep the impact on customers as low as possible. The company aims to balance rising costs while minimizing the burden on buyers.

Maruti Suzuki currently sells cars ranging from the entry-level S-Presso to the premium utility vehicle Invicto, priced between ₹3.49 lakh and ₹28.7 lakh. Last year, after the new GST rates came into effect, the company had reduced the price of the S-Presso by up to ₹1.29 lakh. At the same time, prices of some popular models were increased, including Alto K10 by ₹1.07 lakh, Celerio by ₹94,100 and WagonR by ₹79,600. Now, from June 1, all Maruti Suzuki vehicles will become costlier by up to ₹30,000. However, the company has not yet revealed model-wise revised prices.
