Honda Cars India is going to introduce its mid-size sedan Honda City facelift version on 22 May 2026. This is the second major update of the fifth generation of Honda’s most popular and reliable sedan car. Now it will be introduced in the Indian automobile market with new features and a new model look. After some of its pictures surfaced during testing, there is a lot of excitement among car lovers for its launch. It has been introduced with many internal and external changes and many modern features have been given in it.
New Design

The Honda City facelift has been introduced with an update in its design, in which its front look has been updated and made more sharp and it has been given LED headlights, due to which it looks quite sporty. It has been given a honey comb grill and bumper and air inductors are being given on the corners of the bumper for air intake. Honda’s signature ‘H’ logo has now been shifted slightly upwards, which gives the car a new look.
Talking about its rear and side profile, the alloy wheels given in its side profile look quite attractive. The rear taillights and rear bumper have also been updated, due to which it now looks even more attractive than before.
Powerful engine

Many features of the Honda City facelift will be updated but its engine will remain the same as before, with no changes. It will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine and the manual and CBT automatic transmission gearbox will remain the same as before. If you want good mileage, the 126 HP HD Strong Hybrid engine option will also be available for it, same as before. Its engine produces 121 HP of power and 145 Nm of peak torque.
Cabin and Interior

The interior features of the Honda City facelift have been improved to make it more appealing to the youth. Ventilated seats and a power driver’s seat have been updated to make the journey comfortable in summer. It also has a 360-degree camera feature for parking. A large touchscreen infotainment system is also provided in it which supports connected car technology. For safety features, Honda Sensing ADAS technology will remain the same as before, apart from this, features like lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control will also be provided in it.
Price and Competition
The Honda City facelift is available at a starting ex-showroom price of ₹12 lakh and the top variant is priced at ₹16 lakh, the on-road price may vary after insurance, registration and RTO taxes. It is available in three variants SV (manual), V & VX models, ZX (top model). Upon launch, it will compete with the Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtus.
