Classic Legends is preparing to expand its motorcycle portfolio as the company aims to maintain its growth momentum in the Indian market. Known for selling premium retro-style motorcycle brands like Jawa, Yezdi, and BSA, the company is now planning to enter the scrambler motorcycle segment during the current financial year. Scrambler bikes are designed for both city roads and rough off-road conditions, making them popular among adventure riders. These motorcycles are often called dirt bikes because they can easily handle uneven and challenging surfaces. Industry experts believe the growing popularity of adventure touring bikes in India has encouraged the company to focus on this category. With this upcoming launch, Classic Legends hopes to attract young riders as well as customers who prefer classic-style motorcycles with modern performance and off-road capability. The move could further strengthen the company’s presence in the premium motorcycle market.

Classic Legends and its strong Growth in the Indian market

Classic Legends has continued to show strong growth in the Indian two-wheeler industry. In February this year, the company entered the list of the country’s top 10 two-wheeler manufacturers in terms of sales performance. After receiving a positive response from customers and biking enthusiasts, the company is now planning to strengthen its position in the scrambler motorcycle segment. According to sources familiar with the matter, Classic Legends is working on a new scrambler bike as part of its portfolio expansion strategy. Co-founder Anupam Thareja said that the company received tremendous support from bikers last year and will continue expanding its range with the classic motorcycle format. The company believes that retro-inspired motorcycles with modern features still have strong demand in India. This upcoming launch may help the brand compete more strongly in the fast-growing premium and adventure motorcycle categories.

What did the company’s co-founder, Anupam Thareja, say?

Building an emotional connection with riders remains one of the biggest priorities for Classic Legends. Speaking about the company’s philosophy, co-founder Anupam Thareja said that customers often make emotional decisions while purchasing motorcycles, and the company takes those emotions very seriously. Along with focusing on modern motorcycles, the company is also relying on the rich heritage of its BSA brand. BSA has a long history in the scrambler motorcycle segment that dates back to the late 1940s. During that time, riders modified motorcycles such as the BSA Gold Star Singles and A10 Twins to perform better on rough and uneven roads. These bikes became popular among riders who enjoyed adventure and off-road journeys. By using this strong legacy and combining it with modern technology, Classic Legends now aims to create motorcycles that connect with both classic bike lovers and new-generation riders.
