According to several reports, Nida Khan had been hiding from police for the past 42 days. She was frequently changing her location in order to escape from the police. Using information and mobile location, the police were finally able to track her down and made an arrest. She is in police custody and being interrogated by the police.

Women filed a case against her for being sexually and mentally abused. Some said they were pressured to change their religion and convert to Islam. They also said that they were exploited in the name of favour to be provided a job.

In March 2026, a major controversy erupted at Tata Consultancy Services’ Nashik BPO office when several female employees filed police complaints. The women alleged sexual harassment, psychological pressure, and religious pressure at the workplace. Given the seriousness of the matter, the police formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT).
The complaints stated that some women were emotionally manipulated by promises of marriage and career assistance. Some also alleged misconduct and sexual harassment at the workplace. Furthermore, some employees were accused of pressuring women to engage in religious activities and convert to other religions.
The police registered an FIR under several sections and began an investigation. Nida Khan was identified as one of the main accused in the case. According to police, she remained absconding for approximately 42 days before being arrested in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
According to reports, approximately nine FIRs were registered in this case, and several people were questioned. The National Commission for Women also reviewed the matter due to its seriousness.
