The Delhi Government has taken a major step to improve traffic management in the capital city. To make roads safer and reduce traffic rule violations, the government has introduced new traffic rules and started implementing them. The Delhi Chief Minister’s Office CMO shared information about these new rules through a social media post.
According to the new rules, strict action will be taken against people who break traffic laws. Drivers who repeatedly violate traffic rules may have their driving licenses cancelled. The government believes this step will encourage people to follow traffic regulations more seriously and help reduce road accidents.
Another important rule is related to traffic challans. People who receive a challan must settle or pay it within 45 days. If they fail to do so, they may face further legal action or penalties. through these strict measures, the Delhi Government aims to create a safer, more disciplined and well-organized traffic system for all the citizens.
Delhi Government’s Reforms
According to a post shared on the official X account of the Delhi chief minister’s office, the Delhi Government has introduced important reforms to make the traffic system more transparent, responsible and effective. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, these new changes have been implemented with a strong focus on road safety and better traffic management in the capital.
As per the new rules, if a person receives a traffic challan, it will now be mandatory to settle or pay it within the 45 das. The government has made this rule stricter to ensure that people take traffic violations seriously and follow road regulations properly.
If Someone fails to clear the challan within the given time and delays the payment, the authorities may temporarily suspend services related to the person’s driving license and vehicle registration certificate RC. Through these measures, the Delhi government aims to improve discipline and make the roads safer for everyone.

Under the New Traffic rules introduced by the Delhi Government, stricter measures have been taken to ensure better discipline on the roads. According to the new Guidelines, if a person does not challenge a traffic challan within the given time limit, the challan will automatically be considered accepted. To make the process easier and more convenient, the government has also provided an online facility for challenging challans.
Officials stated that people can first raise their objections through the online system. if the issue is not resolved online, they will still have the option to challenge the challan in court. This step is aimed at making the traffic system more transparent and user-friendly.
The government has also announced strict action against repeat offenders. If a person violates the traffic rules five times within one year, their driving license DL may be suspended. These rules have been introduced to improve road safety and encourage responsible driving habits among citizens.
