Maruti Suzuki, the largest car manufacturer in India, has increased its market share to 42 percent. The company has started the financial year 2026-27 on a strong note with this impressive performance. In the previous financial year, Maruti Suzuki’s market share in India was 39 percent. According to industry estimates, the company recorded a milestone in April by selling 1,91,122 vehicles in the domestic market. Maruti Suzuki sold 96,725 passenger cars in the domestic market in April this year. Banerjee also highlighted the strong growth in SUV sales.
