SAI Vacancy 2026 : SAI (Sports Authority of India) has announced vacancies for Assistant Coaches in 26 sports. The notification has been issued, and the application process will begin on February 1, 2026. This recruitment drive will cover 26 sports, filling a total of 323 vacant positions. Position Information
SAI Vacancy 2026 will recruit for a total of 26 sports, the number of vacant posts for this is 323. Assistant coaches will be recruited for various sports including swimming, athletics, cycling, judo, shooting, boxing, fencing, archery, taekwondo, badminton, tennis, volleyball, basketball, football, handball, kabaddi, and others, which will also provide good salaries.
Eligibility
To apply for SAI Vacancy 2026, candidates must have a coaching diploma or equivalent from Patiala or any other recognized university or must have a certificate coaching course with Olympic, Paralympic, Asian Games, World Championship, or they should have received the Dronacharya Award. Talking about the age limit, candidates up to 30 years can apply, while reserved category candidates will also be given relaxation in the age limit as per rules.
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected for SAI Vacancy 2026 on the basis of written exam and Coaching Ability Test. The written exam will consist of 100 questions which will include 65 marks from Sports Knowledge, 25 marks from Sports Science and 10 marks from General Awareness Reasoning and Aptitude. Apart from the written exam, Coaching Ability Test will also be taken with 60% weightage in the final merit list.
Application Fee
General, EWS, and OBC candidates will have to pay ₹2,500 for applying for the SAI Vacancy 2026, while SC, ST, ex-servicemen, and female candidates will have to pay ₹2,000 for the application fee. Payment can be made through debit card, credit card, or net banking.
Salary
Candidates selected for these posts in SAI Vacancy 2026 will be given salary as per Level 6 in which they will get a salary ranging from Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400 per month.
