Ingredients
- Leftover rice
- Oil
- Gram flour (Besan)
- Turmeric powder
- Coriander powder
- Red chili powder
- Green chilies
- Coriander leaves
- Chaat masala
- Onion
- Salt
Complete Method of Preparation
To make tasty rice pakoras from leftover rice, first, take the leftover rice in a large bowl. After that, mash it lightly with your hands. Don’t mash it too finely.
Next, add gram flour to the mashed rice. Then, add turmeric powder, coriander powder, and red chili powder to it and mix well.
After that, add chopped onion, salt, chaat masala, and chopped coriander leaves and green chilies according to your taste. Mix all the ingredients with a little water to make a thick batter. Now you need to take a deep frying pan. Pour oil into it. As soon as the oil is hot, pour the rice batter into the pan using a spoon, shaping it however you like.
Let the fritters fry well on both sides until they are golden brown and crispy. Once they are cooked and crispy on both sides, remove them from the pan and place them on a plate.
Before placing the fritters on the plate, put a tissue paper on the plate so that the excess oil is absorbed by the tissue.
Once the excess oil has been absorbed by the tissue, transfer the fritters to a serving plate and enjoy them with tea, green chili chutney, or tomato ketchup.
