Renault India announced on Friday that it will increase the prices of its vehicles by up to 2% starting January to manage rising input costs. the french carmaker currently sells three models in the Indian market-Kwid, Triber and Kiger. In its official statement, the company said the price hike will vary depending on the model and variant. Renault explained that Increasing the input costs and the current macro-economic conditions have made this price revision necessary.

Renault India also assured customers that even after the price hike, it will continue too offer high-quality products and services and maintain strong value for money. It is important to note that several luxury car makers like mercedes-benz, BMW and Audi have already announced prices increases starting January. These companies have said the main reason behind the hike is the weakening of rupee against the euro, which has raised overall import and production costs.
Renault’s Kwid is a popular choice in the small car segment. According to the company’s official website, the kwid is prices at Rs.4,29,900 ex-showroom. the car comes with 16 standard safety features, making it a safe option for buyers. It offers a boot space of 279 litres and has a ground clearance of 184mm. the kwid also gets a 2032 cm touchscreen media NAV system and a digital LED instrument cluster, along with a 999cc engine.
The Renault car is also a special offering in the company’s lineup. it is available in both 5-seater options, making it a good family car. the ex-showroom price of this model starts at Rs.5,76,300. it comes with 21 safety features for better protection and offers a large boot space of 625 litres. The car also features a 20.32 cm floating touchscreen display with smartphone connectivity. Renault offers this model in four different variant to suit customer needs.
Renault kiger is the company’s latest and one of its most modern cars in the Indian market. the SUV comes with a starting ex-showroom price of Rs5,76,300. It offers a large boot space of 405 Liters along with 29 liters of cabin storage, making it very practical for daily use and travel. the car is equipped with 21 standard safety features for better passenger protection. Renault kiger also gets three driving modes-Eco, Normal and sport allowing drivers to choose performance as per road conditions. It has a high ground clearance of 205mm and is available in four variants.
