According to the sources, the Delhi government is likely to release the draft of the new electric vehicle policy in the first week of January. this policy is being designed to give the major relief of the middle class. The government plans to offer a strong subsidy on the purchase of electric two-wheelers such as scooters and bikes. Under the new policy, people who switch from petrol two-wheelers to electric ones could get a subsidy of Rs.35,000 to Rs.40,000. this step aims to make the electric vehicles more affordable and encourage the clean and green transport in the city.
