For this initiative, Maruti Suzuki has partnered with bengaluru-based startup TrueAssist technology private limited under its startup incubation programmer in collaboration with NSRCEL-IIM banglore through this partnership the company aims to bring the innovative mobility solutions to customers. Buyers can ordr the swivel seat as a retrofit kit at Maruti Suzuki Arena dealerships. the seat can be installed in new WagonR cars. this flexible into existing WagonR cars. this flexible option allows current owners to upgrade their vehicles without buying a new one, making the feature more accessible and customer-friendly.
At the launch event, Maruti Suzuki India Managing Director and CEO Hisashi Takeuchi said that the WagonR is among the top 10 best-selling cars in India, making it the most suitable model for introducing this accessibility feature. he added that with the swivel seat option, senior citizens and persons with disabilities will be able to travel more comfortably and with the greater dignity, this feature is expected to make the daily commuting easier by reducing physical effort while entering and exiting the car, reinforcing Maruti Suzuki’s focus on inclusive and customer-centric mobility solution.
