The Government has taken strict action over the recent leh-ladakh violence. the home ministry has cancelled the FCRA License of sonam wangchuk ‘s NGO Will no longer be able to receive the donation or contributions from foreign countries. according to reports, during the investigations, evidence of financial irregulalrities was found in the functioning of the NGO. due to these irregularities the government decided to stop the flow of foreign funding to the organization. officials said that the decision has been taken to ensure the transparency and accountability in the use of funds. with this step, the government aims to prevent misuse of foreign contributions and maintain law and order in the sensitive leh ladakh region. this move has created strong reactions locally.

What Home Ministry Said?
Following the Violent protests, the administration on wednesday imposed the prohibitory order under section 163 of the Bhartiya Nagraike Suraksha Sanhita BNSS in leh district of Ladakh. As per the order, gathering of five or more people have been strictly banned to maitain peace and order. leh district magistrate romil singh donk issued the directive warning that any violation of this order would invite strict punitive action under section 223 of the BNSS. Authorities have urged citizens to adhere to the restrictions, stressing that the measures are necessary to prevent further unrest and ensure public safety in the region. District magistrate romil singh donk clarified that under section 163 of bnss, no procession, rally or march will be allowed without prior written approval from the competent authrity. he further stated that use of loudspeakers without permission is prohibited, and no individual should make the statements that may disturb the public peace.
According to the recent reports, several meetings have already been held with these groups both through formal channels like high powered committee and its sub committee as well as through informal discussions with the leaders. the Ministry further informed that the next meetng of the high powered committee is scheduled for october 6,while additional meetings with ladakh leaders are planned for september 25 and 26. the ministry stated that the ongoing dialogue mechanism has already delivered significant results for ladakh. among the key outcomes, the reservations for scheduled tribed in the region was increased from 45 percent to 84 percent, marking a historic step. additionally, one third reservation for women in councils has been introduced to strengthen the representation. the government also recognized bhoti and purgi as offical languages, addressing a long standing demand of the local communities.
