“No Need To Panic”, Says Minister Pravesh Verma About Yamuna Water level Rising

According to the recene reports, Delhi’s Irrigation and Flood Control Minister, Pravesh Verma has assured citizens That there is no reason of panic over the rising water level of the yamuna river. He informed that in the last six months, the government of delhi has taken the several measures to increase the river’s water carrying capacity. Minister stated, that the situations are under control and there is no need to panic about anything. Pravesh Verma added in his statement, that administration is fully prepared to deal with any kind of challenges.

Pravesh Verma said, that the multiple departments have worked together to strengthen flood management systems and ensure smooth flow of water. he also mentioned that even if the water level increases by one ot two meters, the situation will remain manageable. He sated, the situation will not form like the floods in 2023, water will not enter on the streets of delhi this year. He urged people to remain calm, and to have faith in the government.

As per the recent reports, water level of the river yamuna at the old railway bridge was recorded at 206.83 meters, which is above the danger mark of 206 meters, Due to teh rising level, the district mark of 206 meters. Reports suggest, that Old railway bridge has also been closed for traffic to ensure the safety. Rescue teams are actively working on the ground to assist affected families. minister also ensured, even if the water rises to 1meter, still the situations will remain manageable, as government has taken the pre measures to manage the situations. He assured that the residential areas will remain safe. In his statement, he expressed that the water level will begin to recede by the evening, reducing the risk of further disruption in the city.

Government Monitoring the Situation

As per the reports, Government is closely monitoring the level of water in the yamuna river, also the flow of water from hathnikund, wazirabad and okhla barrage round the clock. Rescue teams are actively working to assist the afflicted families. Teams are relocating the people from low-lying areas and have closed the old-railway bridge.
