UP Flood
The flood situation in Uttar Pradesh has taken a critical turn, impacting large parts of the state. According to the latest updates, as many as 694 villages across 21 districts have been severely affected by the rising water levels. The state government, along with disaster management teams, is actively carrying out rescue and relief operations to support those caught in the crisis.

Over 1.7 Lakh People Affected
So far, 172,255 people have been directly affected by the floodwaters. The government has mobilized multiple agencies to manage the situation effectively. Relief camps and shelters have been set up to accommodate displaced families, ensuring their safety and well-being.
In addition, more than 38,615 people have been evacuated from high-risk and submerged areas to safer locations. Evacuation efforts continue as water levels rise in many regions due to heavy rainfall and increased discharge from rivers.
Property Damage Reported
Initial damage assessments report that 373 houses have either been damaged or completely destroyed. Many families have lost their homes, belongings, and means of livelihood. The government is in the process of providing financial aid and rehabilitation support to affected families.

The administration has also reported damage to farmlands and local infrastructure, including roads, electricity poles, and public buildings. Relief teams are on the ground, assessing the total loss and providing temporary arrangements to affected residents.
Relief Measures in Full Swing

Relief and rescue operations are being conducted on a war footing. State authorities have deployed National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams in the worst-hit areas. These teams are working around the clock, distributing relief materials and rescuing people stranded in floodwaters.
Key relief materials being distributed include:
- Food packets
- Clean drinking water
- Medicines and medical kits
- Dry rations
- Tarpaulins and temporary shelters
Medical Assistance for Affected Families

The government has ensured that medical teams are present in all relief camps. Mobile medical units are operating in flood-prone areas to provide emergency healthcare services. Special attention is being given to children, the elderly, and pregnant women to ensure their health and safety.
Government’s Commitment
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to stay alert and leave no stone unturned in helping the affected families. He has also appealed to the public to cooperate with the authorities and avoid risky areas.
Helplines and emergency contact centers have been activated across all flood affected districts, ensuring quick response to distress calls.

As the situation remains tense, the state machinery is working tirelessly to mitigate the impact of the floods. The government is focusing on relief, rehabilitation, and future flood preparedness to reduce the long-term effects of such natural disasters.
