Honda
The Honda CB125 Hornet is an exciting addition to the 125cc motorcycle segment. Designed with sporty aesthetics and built for daily urban riding, the CB125 Hornet offers a strong balance of style, performance, and fuel efficiency. While it is currently available in select global markets, Indian motorcycle enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for its launch in India.

Design And Styling
The CB125 Hornet borrows design cues from its bigger siblings in the CB Hornet family. It features a muscular fuel tank, sharp tank extensions, and a compact tail section. The aggressive LED headlamp and sleek indicators add to its sporty character. A digital instrument cluster provides all the essential readouts like speed, trip meter, gear position, fuel level, and clock.
Overall, the motorcycle has a streetfighter look that appeals to young riders and beginners who want a stylish two-wheeler without compromising on practicality.
Engine And Performance
The Honda CB125 Hornet is powered by a 124.7cc, air-cooled, single cylinder engine that is fuel injected for better efficiency and cleaner emissions. It produces around 14.5 PS of power and 11 Nm of torque, which is impressive for a 125cc motorcycle. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox, offering smooth gear transitions and a refined riding experience.

Thanks to Honda’s advanced engineering, the bike delivers a good combination of punchy performance and fuel economy ideal for both city commuting and short highway trips.
Chassis, Suspension & Brakes
The CB125 Hornet features a lightweight diamond-type frame that ensures excellent handling and stability. It comes with 41mm USD (Upside Down) front forks and a monoshock rear suspension, which are rarely seen in this segment. This setup gives the bike better road feedback and control, especially around corners and during sudden braking.
Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends, equipped with a Combined Braking System (CBS) or single-channel ABS, depending on the variant. The motorcycle runs on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in tubeless tyres.

Expected Launch & Price in India
As of now, the Honda CB125 Hornet has not been officially launched in India. However, given the growing interest in premium 125cc bikes, Honda may consider bringing this model to the Indian market soon.
If launched, the expected ex-showroom price in India could be around ₹1.25 lakh to ₹1.35 lakh, placing it above regular commuter bikes but below the 150cc performance motorcycles. It would compete with models like the KTM Duke 125 and TVS Raider 125 in terms of styling and features.
The Honda CB125 Hornet is a well designed, feature-rich, and performance-oriented bike in the 125cc category. It is perfect for riders who want more than just basic commuting. With its sporty looks and solid build, it has the potential to attract a large number of young riders in India, once it hits the roads.
