Protest Against Waqf Act Starts Today, Muslim Personal Law Board to Hold Demonstration

There is growing debate across the nation over the waqf act. opposition leaders and several muslim boards are questioning the bill and holding the protest in many places. as part of this, the all india muslims personal law board will launch a save waqf campaign starting from today april 10, which will continue until july 7 during this campaign, several events will be organized, sit-in protest will be held at every districts headquarters. Memorandums will be sent to the president through district magistrates DMs and press conferences will be held in 50 major cities across the country.

Along with this protest, Jaimat ulema-e-hind will also hold a protest in kolkata. on the other hand, the bjp is stepping forward in support of the bill. starting today, the bjp will launch a campaign in mulsims areas of mumbai to explain the waqf act to the community. As part of this effort, people will also be asked to fill out a thankyou modi form. the all india muslim personal law board is strongly opposing the waqf act, and thir level of protest shows they are not even afraid of arrest, the board itself will organize sit ins and arrest protest in the capital cities of different states.

What PM Said about Waqf New Law?

according to the prime minister the new law will help prevent misuse of the waqf properties and bring more transparency in their management. he also said that the biggest benefit of this law will go to poor muslims, who will now have better access to the facilities and services meant for them. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi also assured all the people that government is committed to the development and welfare of all communities. his statement is being seen as a major step towards building trust an improving the management of religious and charitable properties. this was pm modi’s first reaction after the law came into effect. PM Modi called the new waqf law a big step towards social justice, he said the law will help protect the rights of poor pasmanda muslims, women and children. according to him, the new law will also ensure that the sacred spirit of waqf if preserved. pm modi also spoke strongly against the politics of appeasement.
