According to the recent reports, The National Legal Services Authority NALSA has announced that a delegation of six supreme court judges, led by justice B.R. Gavai. As per the details, these all six judges will visit relief camps in manipur on march 22. The visit aims to asses the conditions of the people affected by ethnic violence in the state. Justice Gavai, who is also the executive chairman of NALSA, Will be accompianed by supreme court judges Justice Surya Kant, Justice M.M Sundresh, Justice N.Kotiswar Singh, Justice K.V. Vishwanath. these all supreme court judges will be visiting to the manipur, to asses the condition of the relief camps there. According to the details, this visit will take place during the biennial event of the manipur High court.

As per the details given by NALSA, around 50,000 people were displaced and numerous of people were died during the manipur violence that happened in the the year 2023. Manipur violence started on march 3, 2023. But still, there are so many people from that violence who were displaced living in the relief camp across manipur.

Judges of the Supreme Court will be visiting Manipur on March 22, where they will look at the condition of the relief camps out there where they will also underscore the ongoing need for legal and humanitarian assistance for affected communities. During the visit, Justice B.R. Gavai will virtually inaugurate new legal aids clinics in the east area of imphaL, in the west area and ukhrul district. Additionally, he will launch legal service camps and medical camps across the state. as per the details, importat and essential stuff for the people present in the relief camps will be distributed. As the NALSA Announced about the visit of the six judges in manipur, congress has welcomed their decision. where supreme court judges will asses the condition of the relief camps. congress general secretary for communications, jairam ramesh recalled the supreme court’s august 2023 ruling, in which it stated that the constitutional machinery in the the northeastern area has completely vanished. It is very important to asses the situation of manipur. Congress Leader criticized government and questioned about why prime minister narendra modi remaining silent on the manipur crisis. This state is waiting for his visit to see the conditions of it. he also said, that prime minister visits so many states like assam and other places too, then why not manipur.
