Ola Electric has launched its first electric motorcycle, the ‘Roadster X,’ with a starting price of Rs.74,999 (ex-showroom). This is the company’s most affordable electric motorcycle. It will be available with three battery pack options and can cover up to 200 km on a single charge. The base variant of the Roadster X, priced at Rs.74,999, comes with a 2.5 kWh battery, offering a range of 140 km on a single charge. The mid-spec model is priced at Rs.84,999 and features a 3.5 kWh battery, providing a range of 196 km. The top-spec variant, priced at Rs.95,999, has a 4.5 kWh battery and offers a range of 252 km. The company has also introduced the Roadster X+ with 4.5 kWh and 9.1 kWh battery options, priced at Rs.1.05 lakh and Rs.1.55 lakh, respectively. These variants offer ranges of 252 km and 501 km.
Ola Roadster X Features
The Ola Roadster X electric motorcycle is equipped with a 4.3-inch LCD screen powered by Ola MoveOS 5. It also offers features like turn-by-turn navigation, advanced regen, cruise control, TPMS, and OTA updates. The bike has three riding modes: Sports, Normal, and Eco. The Roadster X+ variant comes with additional features like Energy Insights, advanced regen, cruise control, and reverse mode.
The Roadster X is powered by a single electric motor that delivers a peak power of 9.38 BHP across the range. With its three different battery pack options, it offers varying top speeds. The 2.5 kWh battery pack provides a top speed of 105 km/h, the 3.5 kWh option offers a top speed of 118 km/h, and the top-spec 4.5 kWh and 9.1 kWh variants provide a top speed of 125 km/h. The Roadster X features front disc and rear drum brakes with alloy wheels, along with Ola’s Brake-by-Wire technology and a Combined Braking System (CBS). The bike is equipped with telescopic forks at the front and dual shocks at the rear.
Ola Roadster X, Roadster X+ Design
The Ola Roadster X, like other Ola Electric scooters, comes with a futuristic design featuring a minimalist aesthetic and sharp, edgy body panels. The battery pack is placed beneath a faux fuel tank, with a small storage compartment for essential items. It features a rectangular LED headlamp cluster with DRLs, a flat single-piece seat, and a single-piece pillion grab rail.
