According to the investigation, tea was being made in the kitchen of Gita Press when a fire broke out due to gas leak and there was an explosion and the surrounding huts were burnt, after which the fire department reached the spot and the fire was brought under control.

200 tents burnt to ashes
In the incident that happened in Mahakumbh 2025, about 200 tents have been burnt to ashes. This incident happened on January 19 at 4:30 pm, in which the fire broke out in the Sector 19 camp near Shastri Bridge and engulfed many nearby tents.
