This scheme has been started by the Government of Gujarat, the benefit of which is given to the girl students studying in class 9th, under this scheme, the Government of Gujarat gives free bicycles to the girls of class IX. By taking advantage of this scheme, those girls whose homes are far away from the school will avoid the inconvenience of travel and they will be able to go to school easily. This scheme was started by the Government of Gujarat in 2019, which works to promote higher education for girl students, its benefit is mainly given to the Scheduled Caste girl students studying in class 9th.
Purpose of Saraswati Sadhana Yojana
The purpose of this scheme is to encourage girls towards education by giving them free bicycles so that those girls who are unable to go to school due to school being far away can go to school and complete their education. This scheme is operated by the Directorate of Scheduled Caste Welfare, Social Justice and Empowerment Department of Gujarat Government.
Who is eligible for Saraswati Sadhana Yojana?
- In this scheme, ninth class girls living in Gujarat will be eligible.

- The annual income of the girl’s family should be Rs 1,20,000 in rural areas and Rs 1,50,000 in urban areas.
