Up Sanskrit Scholarship Scheme
Up Sanskrit Scholarship Scheme is a scheme of the Uttar Pradesh government in which scholarships are given to Sanskrit students. Through this scheme, 69,195 Sanskrit students of the state will be given scholarships worth Rs 586 lakh. By giving scholarships under this scheme, an effort is being made to promote the study of culture so that our cultural heritage remains safe.
What is Up Sanskrit Scholarship Scheme?
This scheme is being run by the Uttar Pradesh government in which scholarships are given to students studying Sanskrit in Uttar Pradesh. Under this, Sanskrit students studying graduation, post-graduation and professional courses are given scholarships up to ₹ 20000 per year.
Objective of the scheme
Up Sanskrit Scholarship Scheme is being run to encourage students studying ancient language like Sanskrit so that the study of Sanskrit is promoted and students can continue the study of their culture further, its main objective is to maintain the importance of Sanskrit in modern education and to encourage students studying Sanskrit so that they have proficiency in this language.
Its objective is to promote the study of Sanskrit by giving financial assistance to students studying their classical language Sanskrit and to make Sanskrit study more easy and accessible so that students are interested in Sanskrit language and give priority to Sanskrit study.
How much scholarship will be given?
Under the Up Sanskrit Scholarship Scheme, students studying in colleges and universities are given ₹10,000 per year for the first 3 years on graduation and ₹20,000 per year on post graduation and students studying professional courses are given ₹12,000 per year for the first 3 years and ₹20,000 per year in the fourth and fifth year.
Eligibility
- Residents of Uttar Pradesh can apply for Up Sanskrit Scholarship Scheme.
- This scheme benefits students who perform excellently in Sanskrit.
- To avail the benefits of this scheme, the applicant must be enrolled in a recognized institute.
- The benefit of this scheme will be available only if the student has obtained the minimum percentage of marks in a Sanskrit-related subject in the previous examination.
- To avail the benefits of this scheme, the applicant will need his mark sheet, residence certificate, and other necessary documents.

- Now login with the help of your login ID and password and open the application form
- Now upload all your required information and all the documents in the application form and submit this application form and keep the printout of its receipt safe with you.
