cjp leader detained

New Delhi: The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) had announced a protest for October 10th to demand the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar. Following this announcement, government intelligence agencies and large police contingents were deployed. Police have been detaining protesters before they could even reach Jantar Mantar. In this sequence of events, CJP founder Abhijit Dipke was detained at Delhi Airport.

CJP leaders Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das were also detained alongside him. Most surprisingly, the police detained all three CJP leaders from inside the aircraft itself. During this time, Abhijit Dipke issued a warning to the government, stating that they would not be intimidated. He told the police, “We have come specifically to get arrested; go ahead and arrest me.

CJP Condemns the Detentions

The three senior CJP leaders were detained right inside the flight. The police have since taken them away in a van. Where the Delhi Police are taking CJP founder Abhijit Dipke, Ashutosh Ranka, and Saurav Das remains a major question. The CJP has strongly condemned this action.

The CJP described the move as authoritarian. The party alleged that the Delhi Police intercepted its leaders at the airport as part of a pre-planned strategy to prevent them from reaching the protest site and leading the peaceful demonstration. Terming this a blatant violation of the freedom of movement, the party has demanded the immediate and unconditional release of Abhijit Dipke, Saurav Das, and Ashutosh Ranka.

Dhruv Rathee Also Detained

Popular social media personality Dhruv Rathee has also been detained from the Kendriya Vihar area in Sector 56, Gurugram. Delhi Police received information that he had come to visit his parents, who had recently returned from Dubai. Delhi Police shared this information with the Gurgaon Police, following which a joint team conducted a late-night raid and took him into custody.

BJP questions the mindset of AAP and Congress

Amidst the CJP protests in Delhi, BJP National President Nitin Navin launched a scathing attack on the opposition alliance. During this, he also criticised the CJP. At a press conference in Delhi, Nitin Navin alleged that an attempt is being made to create a highly dangerous and serious situation in the country.

He accused Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal, and the CJP of conspiring to destabilise the nation. Nitin Navin also claimed that all of this is being orchestrated at the behest of foreign powers. He stated, “Today, an attempt is being made to create a very dangerous and serious situation in the country. The nation’s 1.4 billion people are living in peace and harmony, contributing collectively to India’s development.”

All routes leading to Jantar Mantar closed.

It is worth noting that CJP protesters have taken to the streets in Delhi. The police have implemented tight security arrangements at the Mandi House roundabout. All major roads and lanes leading from there to Jantar Mantar have been completely sealed off.

Only individuals with a valid reason and proper identification are being allowed to proceed. Traffic movement has also been halted on Ferozeshah Road, Barakhamba Road, and other routes leading towards Connaught Place and Jantar Mantar.
