New Delhi: Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s troubles show no signs of abating, as protests demanding his resignation are taking place across the country. Along with major opposition parties, student groups and social organisations have also taken to the streets. The ‘Cockroach Janata Party ‘, which previously sought the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET exam paper leak, is once again set to stage a protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi.
The CJP will begin its protest in Delhi on October 10. Meanwhile, there was speculation that the Bajrang Dal might also join the protest, potentially escalating tensions; however, the Bajrang Dal has refuted these reports circulating on social media. The organisation officially denied any involvement, dismissing the rumours as false.

What did the Bajrang Dal say?
The organisation has dismissed reports of Bajrang Dal activists participating in the protest at Jantar Mantar, Delhi, as incorrect. In an official statement, the Bajrang Dal clarified that claims regarding its workers gathering at Jantar Mantar—or anywhere else—are misleading and constitute a smear campaign; the organisation has no such plans. The Bajrang Dal asserted that the alleged movement would fizzle out on its own due to a lack of public support.
In its post, the Bajrang Dal stated that it has always opposed any form of chaotic protest in the country. Consequently, it opposes the current protests targeting Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
CJP levels allegations against the BJP
A statement issued by the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ affirmed that, regardless of the circumstances, their protest would remain entirely peaceful and would not resort to violence. CJP leader Ashutosh Ranka also took a dig at Home Minister Amit Shah, stating that the people of the country are watching everything.

He further wrote that a senior BJP leader has revealed that right-wing extremist groups from across the country have been mobilised to unleash violence against peaceful protesters. t-wing extremist groups from across the country have been mobilised to unleash violence against peaceful protesters. Come what may, the protest led by @Cockroachisback must remain peaceful; “we will not raise a hand.” He added that any form of violence against the people of this country would not be tolerated. Amit Shah: India is watching.
CJP Has Protested Before
It is worth noting that the Cockroach Janata Party has previously staged protests demanding Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation over the NEET paper leak. During a march to Parliament on July 20, a tense standoff developed between protesters and the police, resulting in injuries to several protesters. Faced with the protesters’ steadfast resolve in Delhi, the government eventually yielded, and Gyanesh Kumar was forced to resign.
