New Delhi: The ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP) has become a topic of discussion across the country these days, as it consistently exposes the flaws in the education systems of both central and state governments. On Sunday, when CJP activists and leaders arrived in Assam, they were detained by the state police. Senior CJP leader Ashutosh Ranka was also detained but was subsequently released.
Meanwhile, CJP leader Ashutosh Ranka has issued a major challenge to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. He stated that this is just the beginning for the CJP. Ranka had arrived in Guwahati on Sunday to hold a party meeting. It is alleged that the police prevented him from holding the meeting. Ranka was detained again following this incident and later released. Abhijit Dipke, the convener of the Cockroach Janata Party, also reacted to the situation and targeted the government.
What did Ranka say after his release?
After being released from Assam Police custody, CJP leader Ashutosh Ranka made a significant statement. Sharing a post on the social media platform X, he wrote, “Himanta Biswa Sarma, the cockroaches of Assam have only just begun.” He also shared a photo in the post showing him eating with a group of people.
What did Abhijit Dipke say?
Ashutosh Ranka made a bold statement on X, noting that the police had released him after holding him in illegal detention. Commenting on this, Dipke wrote on X, “I, too, was going to join you in the protest at the police station tomorrow.”
Ashutosh was released after detention.
Ranka and more than 40 CJP activists were detained by the police earlier in the day from the residence of Kunki Choudhury, a leader of the opposition party Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJ, P), located at Choudhury Tila, before a scheduled meeting. The group was taken to the headquarters of the 10th Battalion of the Assam Police in the city’s Kahilipara area. However, officials did not comment on the matter.
Speaking at a press conference after his release, Ashutosh Ranka said, “The Assam Police detained me and my team illegally. We asked the police on what grounds we were being detained, but they said they had no information about it and had received orders from higher authorities. For information, the Cockroach Janata Party will launch a nationwide movement on October 2 to demand the resignation of Election Commission chief Gyanesh Kumar. This protest will begin in Mumbai, where a large number of CJP supporters and activists are expected to gather.
