New Delhi: The Election Commission has served a notice to former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. Notices have also been issued to Arvind Kejriwal’s family members. This move has sparked a political stir in Delhi, with the Aam Aadmi Party raising serious questions regarding the procedure.
Notices have been issued by the Election Commission to Arvind Kejriwal, his wife Sunita Kejriwal, his son Pulkit Kejriwal, and his parents, Govind Ram Kejriwal and Gita Devi. Arvind Kejriwal is a registered voter in the New Delhi-40 Assembly constituency.
Verification of details under SIR
According to records from the Delhi Election Commission, notices have been issued to 110 voters in Part-51 (KG Marg area) of the New Delhi Assembly constituency. This list of 110 voters includes Arvind Kejriwal and five members of his family. Details related to the electoral roll are being verified under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, and notices are being issued to various voters as part of this procedure.
AAP questions the disappearance of names from the electoral roll
The Aam Aadmi Party has questioned the Delhi Election Commission regarding this entire development. In a social media post, AAP asked whether everything happening in the country is merely to appease the “Supreme Lord.
“Election Commission, how is it possible that the name of Arvind Kejriwal,w ho has served as Delhi’s Chief Minister three times, and his family members are missing from Delhi’s electoral roll?” These questions have created a political buzz in Delhi.

The party has also questioned the Election Commission’s procedures regarding the inclusion and status of names in the electoral roll. Election Commission Clarifies
The Election Commission has made a significant statement regarding the SIR list. It clarified that notices are being issued to voters whose details could not be matched with previous records or whose entries contain logical inconsistencies. Under this initiative, a total of 3,163,930 notices have been prepared for distribution in Delhi.
These cases are to be resolved by October 29, 2026. It is within this process that the names of former CM Arvind Kejriwal and his family appeared on the list of those receiving notices. The Election Commission further clarified that this process is entirely transparent. Its objective is to ensure that no eligible citizen is left off the list. Notices have been issued to voters whose entries showed logical discrepancies. If an eligible citizen’s name is missing from the list, they can submit a claim using Form-6 by September 30.
