PM Kisan Mandhan Yojana

New Delhi: The Government of India runs several excellent schemes for farmers, yielding significant benefits on a large scale. Did you know there is now a scheme that provides a monthly pension to farmers? It is called the PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana, under which farmers can receive a pension of up to ₹3,000 per month. If you wish to secure your old age, you can easily join the PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana. Enrolling in this scheme ensures a hassle-free monthly pension of ₹3,000. To join, farmers need to be aware of certain essential conditions conditions that are clear and designed to eliminate any confusion.

Key Features of PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana

The PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana, administered by the Central Government, is a highly significant initiative. Joining this scheme can transform your future, provided you meet specific eligibility criteria. To participate, a farmer must be between 18 and 40 years of age.

The monthly investment ranges from a minimum of ₹55 to a maximum of ₹200. Pension payments commence after the beneficiary turns 60. The earlier you join, the lower your investment needs to be. For instance, if you open an account at age 18, the monthly contribution is ₹55; if you join at age 30, the monthly contribution is ₹110.

Documents Required to Join the Scheme

Certain documents are mandatory to enroll in the PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana; without them, an account cannot be opened. You will need an Aadhaar card, a bank passbook, land records (such as Khasra and Khatauni), and a mobile number.

Application Process

Applying for this scheme involves a simple, hassle-free process. To do this, farmers must first visit the nearest CSC. They will need to carry their Aadhaar card, bank passbook, and land documents with them. The CSC operator will then upload these documents to the digital portal. Following this, you can invest between ₹55 and ₹200 per month, depending on your age. The scheme will be linked to your bank account via an auto-debit facility. Once registration is complete, you will easily receive a Kisan Pension Card.

Can both husband and wife join?

There are certain important factors to consider when joining the PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana. In many families, agricultural land is registered in the names of both the husband and the wife. Even in such cases, the benefits of the PM Kisan scheme are granted only once for that specific land. If both the husband and wife apply separately using the same land records, there is a strong likelihood that one application will be rejected or flagged with an objection during verification. Furthermore, if a claim is made twice for the same land, any amount received erroneously may be subject to recovery.
