Over 400 Flights Delayed
The bad weather impacted air services, resulting in delays for over 400 flights at Delhi Airport on Friday. An advisory was issued stating that the flights were delayed due to the inclement weather. Furthermore, at least nine flights were diverted to other cities due to the inclement weather.
According to reports, four flights were diverted to Jaipur, four to Lucknow, and one to Ahmedabad. These were diversion flights. Furthermore, the delayed flights also impacted passengers’ connecting flights and onward travel.
These flights were operated by IndiGo and Air India, and they also issued advisories. In view of the weather conditions, many airlines have issued travel advisories for passengers. IndiGo has asked passengers to check their flight status before leaving for the airport and has also issued an advisory regarding route diversion.
