New Delhi: If you are dreaming of owning a home in Ghaziabad adjacent to Delhi this news will prove very useful. You could soon be allotted a beautiful home in Ghaziabad, though there are certain key details to understand first. The e-lottery for 350 plots under the ‘Madhuban Bapudham Apni Zameen Apna Aasman’ (Own Land, Own Sky) housing scheme is scheduled to take place today.
All eyes are on the e-lottery. Applicants can view the results online. The lottery process for the plots will begin at 11:30 AM on Wednesday and Thursday at the Hindi Bhawan Auditorium in Lohia Nagar. For the first time, the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) will stream the lottery draw for one of its schemes on its YouTube channel, @gdaofficialaccount. The event can be watched live on mobile phones, laptops, and smart TVs.

Approximately 10,000 people from the district applied for the ‘Apni Zameen Apna Aasman’ scheme in Ghaziabad. Additionally, over 32,000 people from across the country including other districts in Uttar Pradesh and states like Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, and Uttarakhand have tried their luck in the scheme. Now, everyone is waiting for the e-lottery results.
Whose Luck Will Shine on August 20?
Fortune is set to smile upon those who applied for the ‘Apni Zameen Apna Aasman’ scheme. The draw for plots in categories E, F, G, and H will take place on August 20. The e-lottery for a total of 241 plots will be held on this day. This includes 44 plots in category E, 60 in category F, 61 in category G, and 76 in category H. A total of 350 successful applicants will be selected across both days. The allotment rate for all plots has been set at ₹35,000 per square meter.
The minimum price for a Category A plot (200 sq. m) is ₹70 lakh; for Category B (150 sq. m), it is ₹52.50 lakh; for Category C (120 sq. m), it is ₹42 lakh; and for Category D (115 sq. m), it is ₹40.25 lakh. Additionally, the price for a Category E plot (112.5 sq. m) has been set at ₹39.375 lakh, and for a Category F plot (90 sq. m), it is ₹31.50 lakh.

Payment required after selection in the e-lottery
If selected in the e-lottery, the allottee must initiate the payment process. Within one month of the allotment letter’s issuance, allottees in the general category are required to deposit 15% of the total price, while those in the reserved category must deposit 20%.
The remaining 75% of the amount can be paid in quarterly instalments over a period of eight months. However, allottees who wish to pay the entire amount in a lump sum will be offered a discount. A discount of 6% will be granted for full payment within 45 days (one and a half months), 5% for payment within 60 days, and 4% for payment within 90 days.
