On Independence Day, Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav launched a scathing attack on the BJP and the RSS. He said that independence does not only mean hoisting the tricolor, but also strengthening the Constitution, democracy, and brotherhood. Akhilesh Yadav said that the Red Fort symbolizes the country’s independence and that misinformation should not be spread from there.

Akhilesh Yadav also questioned the government regarding the women’s reservation law. He said that the law related to women’s reservation has already been passed. If the government wants to implement it, it should do so in the 2027 assembly elections. He said that the Samajwadi Party is ready for this.

Akhilesh Yadav also targeted the BJP’s nationalism. He said that their nationalism is limited to one color, while India’s identity is made up of different languages, religions, cultures, and communities. He appealed to the people to maintain mutual brotherhood and protect the Constitution.

The SP chief also targeted the BJP and RSS on the issue of Partition. He alleged that those whose role in the freedom struggle has been questioned are the ones who today make the biggest claims of patriotism. He said that respect for the tricolor should be felt not just with the flag in hand, but from the heart.

Akhilesh Yadav, taking a dig at the BJP regarding the Tiranga Yatra, said that simply delivering the tricolor to every home will not suffice. People must also have respect for the country and the tricolor in their hearts. He said that if the Constitution remains strong, democracy will also remain strong, and if the Constitution weakens, freedom will also be affected.

Referring to the youth movements, Akhilesh Yadav said that the new generation has shown its strength. He claimed that youth have repeatedly forced governments to reconsider their decisions. He also appealed to Samajwadi Party workers to work unitedly and respect each other.

Regarding the 2027 assembly elections, Akhilesh Yadav urged party workers to begin preparations now. He said that the election season has begun and only the candidates’ tickets remain to be finalized. He also urged party workers to refrain from making statements that could benefit opposition parties.

Akhilesh Yadav also raised questions about donations and offerings related to Ayodhya. He stated that any irregularities in religious offerings are a very serious matter. He questioned that if someone can commit corruption in religious offerings, how can the possibility of irregularities in government work be ruled out?

Akhilesh Yadav also questioned the Uttar Pradesh government’s claims of development. He raised issues such as farmers’ problems, education, health, roads, and sanitation. He stated that the government is projecting progress through statistics, but the problems of ordinary people on the ground remain.

Akhilesh Yadav also criticized the government regarding the education and health system. He stated that good hospitals, timely treatment, and better schools are the needs of the common people. The government should pay more attention to these fundamental issues. He clearly stated that the Samajwadi Party will continue its fight for social justice, the Public Distribution System (PDA), and the protection of the Constitution.
